West Ham have been chasing a tonne of attacking talent this summer including Javier Pastore, Felipe Anderson and most recently Andriy Yarmolenko to name a few.
And Manuel Pellegrini is also keen to improve his options at the back. And having already added Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks and Lukasz Fabianski, the Chilean has since lined up a move for £13.5m-rated (via Transfermarkt) Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles.
Lascelles was arguably one of the best central defenders in the Premier League last season as he helped inspire his side to a 10th place finish, and would add much to West Ham’s backline.
The former Nottingham Forest man has shown himself to be a consistent defender and has become invaluable to Newcastle since arriving at St. James’ Park.
