West Ham fans on Twitter warn club against signing Mitroglou

During the summer, West Ham bolstered their attacking options significantly with the additions of Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini, though, could look to strengthen that area of the squad further once the transfer window reopens in January with the Chilean said to be interested in bringing Marseille striker Kostas Mitroglou to the London Stadium.

The Daily Mail reports West Ham are weighing up a loan move for the 30-year-old in a deal that Marseille would be very open to.

The Ligue 1 outfit are looking to reduce their wage bill and the former Fulham flop could now be a casualty, as a result.

Up front, the Hammers do look a bit light. With Javier Hernandez having not quite lived up to expectations since arriving in east London last summer, outside of Marko Arnautovic, there are not to many other options for Pellegrini. With that in mind, a move for another striker such as Mitroglou has some logic behind it.
