Yesterday truly was a day to forget for those associated with West Ham United. The Hammers fell to an embarrassing 2-0 home defeat against Everton, and in truth, it could have been so much worse. A lot of the problems stemmed from the Irons inability to get on the front foot, and the fans were all baffled that Javier Hernandez didn’t start.

Manuel Pellegrini, for the most part, has got it so right in his time at The London Stadium, but yesterday was nothing short of shambolic. The Irons managed just three shots and only could test Jordan Pickford from one of those as the first-half pairing of Lucas Perez and Marko Arnautovic ambled around the place to absolutely no avail.
At half-time, the Hammers did make the change the fans wanted, but they’d much rather have seen Javier Hernandez start the game for them. The Mexican striker has bagged seven goals and three assists in the Premier League this season, including two in the incredible turnaround in their last outing against Huddersfield as he equalised and grabbed the winner late on.
You can read what the Hammers had to say about Hernandez here:
Put him in the first 11 and find out.

Not today….after watching the last few minutes. The whole team plays with zero conviction or desire. Poor poor leadership and influence from the manager.

The Irons will be desperate for Chicharito to play the full 90 in their next outing against Chelsea and still cannot understand why he didn’t start yesterday.
