A lot of West Ham fans are sharing their love for former striker Mauro Zarate as the club wished him a happy birthday.
Zarate made 29 appearances for the Irons, per Transfermarkt, scoring seven times and providing three assists. Even though his career in East London was short, with the forward having periods on loan to fellow Premier League sides QPR and Watford, he was clearly appreciated by fans who flocked to the club’s tweet to praise him.
Currently, the team have French forward Sebastien Haller as their main striker, who signed for £36 million last summer, per Transfermarkt. He has played 27 times, which means he is already only two appearances away from the same amount that Zarate managed at the club. He has scored 7 goals, just like the Argentinian.
