West Ham United’s London Stadium can offer the best matchday experience for fans, that is according to a survey undertaken by Premier Inn.
Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium finished in second place in the survey, whilst the King Power Stadium, home of Leicester City, was in third. 150 people took part in the survey which took a number of different factors into account, including the ticket prices, number and quality of pubs nearby, distance to the nearest major train station, average attendance and how modern the stadium is.
It is a little surprising to see the London Stadium finish top of the pile, given the criticism it has received from Hammers fans in particular. Indeed, many of the east London club’s supporters do not like their new ground, with one describing it as “soulless” recently (The Guardian).
Many West Ham fans can’t believe the result of the survey and have taken to Twitter to suggest that it is completely wrong, with one even suggesting that the London Stadium’s matchday experience as “absolutely shocking.”
Here is what some had to say…

Oh wow, compiled by someone who clearly has never had to experience it on a match day, it’s absolutely shocking with no regard for the loyal fan base at all!

What, losing every week and being 26 miles from the pitch. Great experience that

Your having a laugh, both home and away fans can’t stand this place

I have a season ticket, and I can tell you that this is utter nonsense. The seats are nice, you don’t get wet if it rains and there is WiFi. That’s about it.
The team are awful, it’s devoid of atmosphere. Away fans get in the home end, and everything is overpriced.— Tom Wells (@TomWellsLSF) January 29, 2020
