A lot of West Ham fans are pleased to see that their U23 squad are enjoying a good cup run after they reached the Premier League Internation Cup semi-finals last night.
The squad won on penalties against Derby after the game was tied at 3-3 after 120 minutes. It is a victory that the club fans will enjoy, as the senior squad lost against Arsenal on the weekend and are currently fighting for their lives in a relegation battle.
Goalkeeper Joseph Anang was the hero as he saved two penalties to make sure the hammers advanced to the last four. The young goalkeeper has had an impressive season in Premier League 2, playing 17 times and keeping eight clean sheets. (Transfermarkt)
Hammers fans will also be pleased to see that Andriy Yarmolenko played for the youth squad, as he nears his comeback from injury. The Ukrainian winger has missed the last 12 Premier League games after a tear in the abductor muscle. (Transfermarkt)
