West Ham United: Fans react to latest transfer news as Yannick Carrasco linked with move

West Ham United have been offered the chance to sign Belgian international Yannick Carrasco on loan from Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang this month, that is according to a report from the Daily Mail.

However, it is also suggested that his £180,000-per-week wages could potentially be a stumbling block when it comes to agreeing a deal. They could also face competition from London rivals Crystal Palace for the 26-year-old’s signature.

Carrasco has been playing in China since February 2018, when he moved from La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid. He has been performing very well during his stay in the far east and in 50 Super League appearances he has scored 24 goals and provided 17 assists (Transfermarkt). – a reasonably prolific return for someone who operates on the wing.

He is also a regular for the Belgian national team, racking up 41 appearances so far for his country, scoring six goals in that time whilst also chipping in with nine assists (Transfermarkt).

Upon reading that there could be an opportunity to take Carrasco on loan, many West Ham fans have urged the club to get a deal done. Here is what some had to say on Twitter…
