Lots of West Ham fans are furious at a tweet from former Sunderland and Wolves forward Stephen Elliott, who took a dig at Declan Rice over his complaints about VAR.
West Ham were the latest victims of a controversial VAR decision on Friday night, as Robert Snodgrass’ late equaliser at Bramall Lane was cancelled out due to a handball from Rice.
The England international stormed forward to set up the late strike and rescue a point, leading Sky Sports commentator Jamie Carragher to label the decision ‘an absolute joke’.
Rice clearly agreed with the former Liverpool defender, admitting after the game that the Hammers were ‘fuming’ and ‘livid’ in the dressing room.
Elliott though, a former Republic of Ireland international, clearly has no sympathy for Rice, seemingly holding a grudge due to the 20 year-old’s decision to represent the Three Lions at international level.
