Our West Ham fans are feeling pretty glum here in the Transfer Tavern right now as it appears, according to The Telegraph, the club are getting desperate ahead of the January window.
The report claims that the Hammers have sent out a letter to the big clubs in the Premier League asking them for any players they may be able to afford them ahead of the rest of the season when the January window opens.
It is thought that the club are specifically looking for right backs, centre backs and strikers in their letter and you can see why with those positions in particular looking either short of options or not good enough.
Whether, though it’s the time of good will, the clubs written to will oblige remains to be seen but it certainly suggests the Irons will now take whatever they can in a bid to overturn their fortunes.
Back-to-back wins have boosted the morale slightly but they are far from safe and our landlord thinks that they’d better get some good players in this next window or they good be facing oblivion.
