West Ham linked with a move for Roberto Gagliardini

Roberto Gagliardini

Manuel Pellegrini is thought to be keen to add to his West Ham United squad this winter.

And, according to a report in Italy, a midfielder appears to have become the latest target for The Hammers.

Inter Live are claiming Inter Milan’s Roberto Gagliardini has attracted interest from The Irons, as well as Everton.

The Italy international has struggled to get game time at the Serie A outfit this season, however, it is understood the club are not prepared to offload him.

The report claims that a €25million bid has been rejected already – although it does not specify who made the offer – whilst Inter are not convinced that they can replace him in January should he depart.

The Verdict:

Gagliardini appears to be the latest name to be linked with a potential move to West Ham as the rumour mill continues to go through the motions this month.

However, it does not appear that a move for the 24-year-old is likely to happen any time soon with Inter not prepared to let him go.

West Ham have had to deal with a number of injuries to their midfield players this season, with the likes of Carlos Sanchez and Jack Wilshere both having to spend significant spells on the sidelines, so it would not be strange to see a midfielder arrive in January.
