West Ham: Fans react to injury update on Sebastien Haller

West Ham striker Sebastien Haller has not been available for selection since football returned due to injury, and a lot of Hammers fans are reacting to news around when he might return.
The striker’s maiden campaign has been hit and miss, as he has scored seven goals, per Transfermarkt, but four of those came in his first seven appearances.
The Frenchman has managed on average 1.9 shots per game but just 0.9 key passes, per WhoScored, and it is clear that fans would like to see more attacking intent from the player. Indeed, the huge price they paid for him (£36 million) adds a lot of pressure for him to be performing well in every game.
According to Claret and Hugh, via West Ham News, the medical team at the club are hoping he will be fit for the match against Burnley on 8th July at the London Stadium.
The Irons fan base are not happy as they feel they need him back as soon as possible due to the fact they are in a relegation battle, per BBC Sport, and even though Haller has been inconsistent, he is their top scorer, via WhoScored, and he can be the difference between the side staying up and relegated this season.
Here is what fans said following the tweet, with one comparing the situation to Andy Carroll’s time at the club. Indeed the ex-England man also struggled a lot with injuries whilst in east London.
The medical team are thought to be targeting a full return and potential start for Haller in West Ham’s home game against Burnley on 8th July at the London Stadium in ten days time.

The issue isn’t the fact that Haller won’t be available until the Burnley game, the issue is that even when the time comes for him to play against Burnley,it will still take him three games minimum to get back to match fitness and match sharpness. By this time the season is over.
