According to a report by The Telegraph, West Ham United star Michail Antonio is set to switch his international allegiance from England to Jamaica – with many Hammers worried this could lead to more injury problems as a result of his increased match action.
Antonio, as per this report, looks set to switch his allegiance after a failed approach from Jamaica in 2016 – with the 30-year-old now reportedly eager to help them whilst performing a u-turn on that original decision.
The Jamaica Football Federation apparently want Antonio as part of their international squad for the Concacaf qualifiers in September when they take on Mexico and Costa Rica.
He has not been part of the England squads under Gareth Southgate and failed to make his debut during Sam Allardyce’s stint as Three Lions coach.
Following this news, plenty of Hammers have erupted – mainly due to the potential of picking up more injuries on international duty.
