West Ham United have struggled to find a long-term replacement for David Moyes since his departure last summer.
The Hammers hierarchy decided to part ways with their Conference League-winning manager at the end of the 2023/24 season after a poor league finish, and since then, they have failed to find the right man to lead the club.
Julen Lopetegui was appointed as Moyes’ successor and was heavily backed in the transfer market, but his tenure was short-lived, and after 20 Premier League fixtures in charge, he was replaced by Graham Potter.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion boss was warmly welcomed in East London after his impressive spell on the south coast, but after nine months in charge at the London Stadium, there has been little improvement.
West Ham have lost three of their four Premier League games this season and have already been knocked out of the Carabao Cup after a defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers last month.
With just three points on the board and sitting 18th in the table, there is growing concern around the club about the threat of relegation and the prospect of anti-board protests from frustrated supporters.
According to The Guardian, West Ham are already considering another managerial change, with Potter potentially facing the sack in the coming weeks.
The report suggests that while his immediate position is not under threat, the wider picture at the club is causing concern.
Nuno EspÃrito Santo is among the out-of-work managers under consideration, though it remains unclear whether the former Nottingham Forest boss would step straight back into a Premier League role.
Should West Ham sack Graham Potter?

There is no doubt that Potter needs to perform a complete turnaround in performances to regain the trust of supporters, having won just six of his 24 games in charge so far.
The pressure will only intensify when West Ham host Crystal Palace at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon, and nothing short of three points will satisfy the home crowd.
If Potter is dismissed in the coming weeks, the appointment of Nuno would represent a significant coup for the Hammers and inspire the dream of European football again.
The 51-year-old performed miracles on Trentside, transforming Forest from relegation candidates into European qualifiers within just 12 months, recording a 46.34% win rate across all competitions last season.
This was not the Portuguese manager’s first success in climbing the Premier League table to challenge for European spots.
He earned widespread recognition at Wolves, where he disrupted the status quo, establishing his side as a force in the English top flight and earning European qualification.
Nuno’s managerial prowess did not go unnoticed, with high praise from compatriot and mentor José Mourinho ahead of a clash between Manchester United and Wolves in 2018.
The newly-appointed Benfica boss said:
“Nuno has reached this Premier League level by his own merit. He didn’t come directly – he came to the Championship. So, he earned the right. He has done fantastic work – the results speak for themselves.”
Whether Potter can turn things around or he reaches the point of no return remains to be seen; either way, Nuno would be a highly promising replacement to get the club back on track and fighting for Europe.
