West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be keen to see who Manuel Pellegrini can try and convince to join them at the London Stadium this summer.
The Chilean has been busy since his arrival and will face Liverpool at Anfield in his first game in charge as he looks to turn the Hammers into an attractive side capable of competing for a place in the Europa League.
Pellegrini knows he will need to bring in a number of players to make that happen and he could have been handed a boost in the efforts to sign one of his transfer targets this summer.
According to a report from Sky Sports, Nice have announced Marlon Santos has returned back to Barcelona, which could pave the way for West Ham to make an offer. The 22-year-old defender has been identified as a man that can help bolster the defence, as the Irons need recruits in that particular position.
Landlord’s Verdict
The Hammers fans in the Tavern will be hoping their side can make a move for the defender this summer as he would certainly help to improve their defence.
The 22-year-old (valued at £5.4 million by Transfermarkt) proved to be a consistent performer for Nice during his loan spell and caught the eyes of the West Ham recruitment team in the process.
