West Ham table bid for talented 27-year-old as club look to summer window – Report

West Ham United fans here in the Tavern are hoping their side can secure a future in the Premier League, after toxic scenes at the London Stadium in their last outing.

The Hammers have looked less than convincing in recent times as relegation to the Championship seems likely, with only eight games left to play in the current campaign. Although, it appears that the club are already looking to the summer transfer window, as according to reports from Haberler, West Ham United have offered £10.5 million for Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed an incredible season in the Turkish Super Lig for Galatasaray with seven goals and nine assists to his name, after joining from PAOK in January of last year.

And, it now appears that the Hammers have their eyes set firmly on securing his services in the summer months, but their reported bid of £10.5 million looks to be way off the Turkish club’s asking price, as it’s believed that Galatasaray want €30 million.

Although, they do face competition for the Cape Verde international as fellow Premier League clubs Everton and Newcastle United are also interested. Indeed, the Magpies have had bids rejected for the player in the last two transfer windows and are hoping that a £13 million offer will make it third time lucky, while the Toffees have reportedly had scouts watch the winger over the past couple of months.

Landlord’s Verdict:

West Ham United will be desperate to sign the winger as a valuable addition to their squad, with a number of star players failing to live up to expectations in the current campaign. Although, they do face stiff competition from two Premier League clubs in more promising positions, which could be a disadvantage come the end of the season.
