According to TV 2’s information, West Ham United could swoop for Bournemouth striker Joshua King on deadline day – coming as they claim GSB ‘still have sensors‘ on the Norwegian amid interest also from Southampton and Everton.
West Ham could still sign King
King, who has been heavily linked with a move to the Hammers since December (talkSPORT), could still leave the Cherries as clubs continue to be touted with bringing him back to the Premier League.
Amassing 51 caps for Norway, the 29-year-old could still move away on deadline day as per this report – with GSB and the Irons apparently keeping tabs as the search for a striker could move into the final hours.
So far, West Ham United have confirmed just two January signings in Frederik Alves and Jesse Lingard, and supporters could be waiting eagerly to see if they manage to strengthen their options up front.
Transfer Tavern take
King being an option on deadline day makes sense judging by past reports, with talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook claiming at the end of December that manager David Moyes was ‘very keen’ on doing a deal for the forward.
Indeed, the club were apparently working on a ‘potential deal‘, and whilst that claim didn’t come to fruition, they could still have a chance judging by this update.
Time will tell, but they could instigate a swoop for the striker as they seek a real back-up option for Michail Antonio.
