Writing on Twitter, West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has shared confirmed news that the club have tied down attacker Said Benrahma with a permanent deal – resulting in many Irons buzzing as they worship the club’s ‘excellent business’.
Benrahma had been signed from Brentford on loan in the summer of 2020, but West Ham then opted to seal the Algerian on a permanent basis to free up a domestic loan slot for Jesse Lingard to come in.
Lingard is now confirmed and a West Ham player until the end of the season (official club website), but that arguably couldn’t have happened without the Hammers first tying down Benrahma with a full time move to east London.
The 25-year-old has signed a five-year deal until 2026, with GSB now owing £20million through instalments and £5 million in add-ons on top of the loan fee paid last year (Evening Standard).
Hailing the move by West Ham, plenty of supporters buzzed over Gold sharing the confirmed news on Twitter – find all of their best verdicts on the development down below.
