Many West Ham United fans have admitted on social media that they would like to see David Moyes sacked and replaced by their former manager Sam Allardyce.
The Scot took charge at the London Stadium in December after Manuel Pellegrini had been sacked following a run of nine defeats in 12 matches (BBC Sport). But his arrival hasn’t sparked an upturn in results and so far he has managed to win just one of the seven league matches he has overseen, losing four (Transfermarkt).
In their latest game, they were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City and failed to have a single shot on target (BBC Sport). As a result, it seems that many Hammers fans have already had enough of Moyes and some are now calling for Allardyce to return to the club.
The 65-year-old was previously in charge of West Ham between 2011-15 and he was the manager who guided them to promotion back to the Premier League in 2012 (BBC Sport).
Allardyce is a specialist when it comes to avoiding relegation, indeed he has taken charge of the likes of Crystal Palace and Sunderland recently and helped them stay up. In fact, the former England boss has never been relegated in his entire managerial career.
With the Hammers currently in the bottom three with 12 games to play (BBC Sport), it seems that many of their supporters would like him to come back and help them try to avoid the drop. Here is what some said on Twitter…
Call me crazy but I would call it a day with Moyes now and give the job to Sam Allardyce until the end of the season, who alongside Kevin Nolan would keep us up in my opinion.
Then look at someone like Kovac in the summer….

Sam and Nolan would have been the answer! This board has made mistake after mistake. They don’t listen they ignore they’ve killed this once great club. West Ham was once life for me now it’s just a passing interest, you can only be beaten down so much before you’ve had enough

Yep, probably not a popular opinion amongst the fans but we would not be in this position if Sam was in charge

Never thought in a million years I’d want Sam back, but if we don’t try and get him, we are doomed to relegation. Moyes is an utter and total disaster. He has dumped Fornals and for that alone it proves he is not fit to be at ANY football club. #MOYESOUT

Not crazy at all. I would have missed out the Moyes episode and gone straight to Sam.

Go with Allardyce & keep him, give him money and see what he can do. When you look at the tea he had with us it went great quality wise and did a good job. I’m not a massive fan of his but its probably the best we can hope for
