A lot of West Ham fans are discussing former signing Freddie Ljungberg and the memories they have of the Swede are not the best.
Sadly West Ham fans did not get to see Ljungberg in his peak as he was already 30 years-old when he arrived and fans are not scared to slate the player following a tweet celebrating his 43rd birthday as one said: “He played for us?”

The 75-time Swedish international only made 28 appearances for the East London side, scoring twice and providing four assists, via Transfermarkt, after his £4.05 million move from Arsenal.
He is more well known in England for his time in North London as he had a very successful period at the club under Arsene Wenger. He played 326 times for the Gunners and managed 71 goals and provide 36 assists whilst also winning the Premier League twice as well as the FA Cup twice.
He is certainly not a fan favourite amongst the West Ham faithful, here’s what some had to say about the player:

One of our worst ever signings. Barely played and we paid him £3m just to cancel his contract

Dreadful signing, I’m sure he cost me a job at Phones4U at the time, too. The Arsenal fan interviewer wasn’t too pleased when I said we shouldn’t be signing him because he’s passed it 🤦♂️

And the only time he came close to wearing the shirt
