West Ham United: Fans react to Ryan Fredericks exit links

Ryan Fredericks

Fans of West Ham United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed a report that claims the club are willing to sell Ryan Fredericks in January.

According to West Ham insider page Claret & Hugh, Fredericks, who joined the Hammers on a free transfer in the summer of 2018, ‘looks a goner’ after being left out of yet another Premier League matchday squad for the club’s clash against Manchester United last weekend.

What year were West Ham originally founded?

The report goes on to state that ‘you can bet your life’ on the sale of the £3.6 million-rated right-back in the January transfer window, should the club receive an acceptable offer.

Do you think West Ham should sell Fredericks in January?

Yes

Yes

No

No

And, considering that the 28-year-old has not featured in the league since September, in addition to the £5.4 million arrival of now seemingly first-choice right-back Vladimir Coufal, as well as the emergence of academy product Ben Johnson, one would have to agree with the statement on Claret & Hugh that it seems as if Fredericks could well have ‘played his last game in a Hammers shirt’.

So, what did these West Ham United fans have to say in reaction to the news of Ryan Fredericks’ potential departure?

Bad move in my opinion. He lacks in certain areas, but his pace gets him out of trouble, and often gets our defence out of trouble. We are playing well, but the lack of pace in defence bothers me.

God forbid we have 2 decent options for 1 position.
