West Ham United progressed to the FA Cup fourth round after beating Gillingham 2-0 at Priestfield on Sunday.

It was a dogged display from the Gills, who held their Premier League opponents at 0-0 until the 74th minute. Still, late goals from Pablo Zabaleta and Pablo Fornals ultimately ended their resistance (BBC Sport).
Fornals’ performance, in particular, caught the eye, despite the fact that he only made a 20-minute cameo in the game.
Indeed, as well as getting his name on the scoresheet he also managed to play two key passes, one of which was an assist for Zabaleta’s goal, make two interceptions and one successful tackle (SofaScore).
After a slow start to life at West Ham, the Spaniard has found some form recently and has now scored two goals and provided four assists in his last seven appearances in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
He is fast becoming a favourite amongst the Hammers supporters and many of them were quick to praise his display on Twitter after the game at Priestfield.

talent was always there, what impresses is the spirit and dedication to adapt to the premier league. Hes waited for the opportunity to shine and taken it with confidence. He has a bright future but best all of he’s a Hammer he didn’t know it when he joined but it’s in his blood!
