A lot of West Ham United fans are discussing former player Joe Cole following a post by the club on Twitter showing all the goals he scored during his career in East London.
The attacking midfielder came through the Irons’ academy and made his debut in the 1998/99 season. He didn’t look back and eventually made 178 appearances for the Hammers, per Transfermarkt, scoring 17 goals and providing 8 assists.
These appearances were across two spells as the Englishman returned to the side before the end of his career after ten years away. He played his final games for the club from 2012-2014 and clearly left fond memories for fans of the Hammers, who have been praising him following the club tweet.
He also left Premier League fans great memories, as he won all domestic trophies available on multiple occasions during his career at Chelsea, per Transfermarkt and was an England international after making his debut in 2001.
