Many West Ham fans are sceptical as a tweet has relayed a transfer report linking Milot Rashica with a move to East London.
Indeed, according to Der Spiegel, the Hammers have joined the race to sign the winger, but face competition from the likes of Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund for his signature.
The 23 year-old has had a good career so far with Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, managing 23 goals and 11 assists in 64 appearances, per Transfermarkt. A young winger could be exactly what the Irons need to play on the opposite flank to Jarrod Bowen, with Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson potentially set to be allowed to leave in the summer.

His offensive statistics also show that he would bring more attacking impetus to the squad, as he has averaged more shots and key passes per game (3 and 1.6) than the Ukrainian, (1.3 and 1) and the Brazilian, (1 and 1.1) as well as Michail Antonio who has managed 2.3 shots and 0.9 key passes per game, via WhoScored.
It might be hard for the club to attract the player who is valued at £25.20 million, via Transfermarkt, as some of European’s biggest sides are interested and the West Ham faithful have been quick to point this out.
Here is what they had to say following the tweet:

No truth in it whatsoever but what an absolutely class signing this would be

Surely he would choose us over Liverpool or Dortmund???

Great player & although I think WB would take less than the €38m release clause, I can’t see us paying big money for a player in a position we have lots of strength in!
Even if we sold Lanzini & Yarmolenko I’d much rather we go for Eze & other options across the pitch like Daka!— Steven McCarthy (@StevenMcCarthy9) April 15, 2020
haha as if this would ever happen

So son, Liverpool or West Ham? Champions League or Championship?
Tough choice!

That’s like me ‘joining the race’ for the Olympic 100m finals 😂
