West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere has suffered yet another injury setback and is set to undergo a hernia operation on Wednesday, that is according to journalist Sam Inkersole.
The ex-Bournemouth loanee hasn’t featured for the Hammers since their game against Everton on 19th October, missing the last 14 Premier League matches with a groin problem (Transfermarkt). And instead of making his way back to action following that injury, he will instead be missing for an indefinite amount of time due to his latest issue.
Since signing on a free transfer from Arsenal in the summer of 2018, Wilshere has managed to play just 16 games in all competitions for West Ham (Transfermarkt). At 28-years-old he should be entering his peak years, but instead, injuries continue to blight what was once a hugely promising career.
After seeing that the midfielder was set to miss more games through injury, it appears that several Hammers fans have lost patience with the 34-time England international. Indeed, several have taken to Twitter to urge the club to move Wilshere on.
Here is what some had to say…

Negotiate an end to his contract. We don’t need another lingering, permanently injured liability.
We will never be able to rely on him.
