West Ham United: Fans react to latest transfer news as Marko Arnautovic linked with return

Marko Arnautovic was keen on returning to West Ham United before the transfer deadline and David Moyes was interested in bringing him back, only for all flights from China to be grounded due to the coronavirus (via The Mirror).

According to the report, the Austrian has been looking to return to the Premier League just six months after leaving the Hammers to join Shanghai SIPG.

The east London side were one of the clubs keen on doing a deal as they search for more competition for places upfront with Sebastien Haller having shouldered most of the responsibility this season. However, any hopes of a comeback for Arnautovic were dashed after all flights from China were cancelled due to the coronavirus.

During his spell at West Ham, the 30-year-old scored 22 goals in 65 appearances across all competitions (Transfermarkt) and he has a good record so far in the Chinese Super League, with nine strikes in 11 (Transfermarkt).
