West Ham United are currently enjoying their mid-season winter break, but it seems that one of their players isn’t taking the time to rest on a beach.
Indeed, photos have emerged on social media of Brazilian international Felipe Anderson training hard ahead of the Hammers next fixture which is against Manchester City next Wednesday (via @irons_united). The 26-year-old has been out of action recently with a back injury that he sustained against Sheffield United back in January. He managed to finish that game but has since missed their last four Premier League outings (Transfermarkt).
However, it seems that he is closing in on a return and is using the break to put in the hard yards in the hope that it will help him to regain full fitness ahead of the clash at the Etihad Stadium.
Many Hammers fans have been reacting to the images of Anderson training, with several impressed with his dedication and use of the break to work hard rather than go on holiday. Meanwhile, others have admitted that they are desperate for the former Lazio man to come back into the team and help them try to avoid relegation to the Championship.
