West Ham fans are feeling a lot more confident after last week’s victory against Southampton and are hoping that the Hammers can come away with a win against Arsenal on the weekend.
It hasn’t been a great season for the Irons, who have spent most of the season battling for relegation, but their recent performances against Liverpool and Southampton have given them a glimmer of hope that they can survive in the league.
The Irons have conceded 49 goals, which is the 3rd most in the league, but with more time under David Moyes, they may start to become a better defensive unit given the fact they managed to keep the Saints largely at bay and reduced Manchester City to just two goals, having previously battered the Hammers.
Still, if they had not beaten Southampton on the weekend, the next four games they have would have looked daunting. They first have a trip away to Arsenal, then face Wolves, Tottenham and Chelsea. However, given their win and the fact they ran Liverpool close, plenty of fans are feeling confident online.
Here is what some fans are saying in the build-up to the London derby:

If West Ham produce the same style of performance and adopt the same line up and formations that they did against Southampton last weekend for the Arsenal game then there is every chance that we will come away with positive result. Best time to be playing Arsenal on current form.
