The Sun are reporting that Andre Ayew is back in full training with West Ham, much to the delight of the local Hammers fans here in the Transfer Tavern.
The attacker was signed from Welsh club Swansea City over the summer transfer window, but injured his quadriceps during the loss against Chelsea on the opening day.
He has been out ever since but could be in-line to return in the very near future with Sunderland next on the agenda for the east London side this weekend.
Whether he actually plays or not still remains to be seen but his manager Slaven Bilic will be more than happy to welcome him back, after what’s been a pretty tough start to this season seeing many of his forwards injured.
Both Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho have suffered this season whilst Enner Valencia is out on loan at Everton.
Simone Zaza has started up front in recent weeks but he too has had problems with not being able to score.
It’s come as welcome news here by the bar with one Hammers proclaiming: “We’re on our way back now! We started poorly but the win against Palace showed what we can do and Ayew is only going to help that.”
Our landlord here in the Tavern thinks this is a major boost for the Hammers, and is tipping them to finally get back to form in the Premier League!
