There were plenty of positives for West Ham United in their 2-0 win against Norwich City on Saturday: the first clean sheet of the season, another goal for Sebastien Haller and Felipe Anderson’s performance.
The Brazilian may not have been directly involved in either of the goals scored on the day, but he was a key creative presence.
This has led to the Hammers’ official Twitter page making an appreciation post for him:

The 26-year-old was brilliant with the ball at his feet, completing 7 of the 8 dribbles that he attempted throughout the game, as per WhoScored, which was the most of any player on the pitch – this is not an anomaly, as only Nicolas Pepe averages more dribbles per game than Anderson.
During the game, he also made 3 key passes and contributed defensively with 3 successful tackles, 1 clearance and 1 interception.
This was enough to see him earn a place in WhoScored’s Team of the Week – alongside teammate Arthur Masuaku – with a rating of 8.3.
A selection of Twitter reaction to his performance, including posts from impressed West Ham fans, can be seen below:
Best player outside the top 6? Yes.

His performance against Norwich this weekend was Anderson’s best game in a West Ham shirt since joining the club. Not seen a performance as skillfull and dominating as that from one of our midfielders since Payet left.
