“What squad number will he have?” - West Ham fans react to latest major transfer update

The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are liking the idea of Wayne Rooney coming to the London Stadium…

Sky Sports reported recently that Rooney is attracting the interest of West Ham, with a summer move seemingly in the plans of Slaven Bilic.

Rooney would, of course, be a pretty decent signing for the club – given the vast amount of experience that he has. Certainly, his form has not been up to par this season, but many in the pub think that Bilic could be the man to get the best out of him.

However, these plans appear to have taken a hit this evening, with Jack Sullivan revealing on Twitter that any move for Rooney is unlikely. See that Tweet below…
