Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo appears set to ring the changes for tonight’s Carabao Cup clash away to Aston Villa.
Tim Spiers, who covers the club for The Athletic, tweeted via @TimSpiers that a much-changed line-up is expected, with youngsters such as Taylor Perry and Benny Ashley-Seal mooted for starting berths, adding that the Carabao Cup is not a priority for the Wolves boss.
Told it's set to be a much-changed team at Villa Park tomorrow night, Taylor Perry and Benny Ashley-Seal among the youngsters who could start.
Arsenal away on Saturday and the Carabao is 4th on the priority list. Interested to see how Villa approach it #wwfc

Nuno made 10 changes to his starting line-up for Wolves’ previous game in the competition against Reading last month and, with the trip to Villa Park the third of four matches in a 10-day period, the manager could well decide to rest many of his regular starters.
Wolves have already played 20 matches in all competitions in 2019/20, having come through six qualifying games to reach the Europa League group stage, and tonight will be their 11th midweek match of the season so far. [via TransferMarkt]
The squad has been impacted with injuries recently, with Ryan Bennett and Willy Boly both missing last Sunday’s trip to Newcastle and the latter set to be ruled out for a while after breaking his ankle at the weekend, as per the Express & Star.
With a Premier League trip to Arsenal coming up on Saturday, these Wolves fans on Twitter have called for a much-changed line-up for tonight’s Carabao Cup clash at Aston Villa:
I would change whole team we’ve played so many games already concentrate on league and Europe

Can’t we register the Ball Boys and play them?
— Gordilocks and the Free Beers (@GordilocksB) October 29, 2019
I would play an entire under 23 team in all honesty. The League Cup is not a priority. Bear in mind the number of games we have played already. The league game at Molineux is far more important.

No harm in us playing a weaker team, ideal for game time and building fitness
Ruddy
Sanderson Vallejo Bennett Kilman Vinagre
MGW Perry Neto
BAS CutroneThis isn’t a priority for me so be good for some of the kids to get a run out

Why are so many moaning? Our U23s should be good enough to step in! The League and Europa is our priority so I don’t see the problem. Fed up of seeing our players look tired, let them have a rest.

Needs to happen, injuries are startling to creep in! League cup is lowest priority for us!
— Louis Webb (@_webbz) October 29, 2019
Good, Moutinho and Jimenez need a rest!

Fantastic, our youth deserves a crack at the wip. @BennyAs_ @Tayperry8 @wolves
