Plenty of Wolves fans have been reacting to the news that Willy Boly has now recovered from the serious injury that has kept him out of action since late October.
Speaking ahead of their game against league leaders Liverpool tonight, manager Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed that both Boly and team-mate Diogo Jota have recovered from their respective injuries and are in contention for the match (via Express & Star). It is a development that delighted supporters, which is hardly a surprise.
The Frenchman is a crucial part of Wolves’ defence, averaging three tackles and 1.9 interceptions per Premier League game before his injury (via WhoScored). No player in the Midlands club’s squad has a higher average in either defensive category.
Considering that, Nuno could be tempted to throw Boly straight back into the action, especially with the task of having to defend against Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino awaiting.
