Wolves fans will not be able to attend their team’s Europa League match away to Slovan Bratislava later this month.

As reported by wolves.co.uk, the Group K tie on October 24th will be played behind closed doors, with the news shared on Twitter via @Wolves.

Wolves.co.uk reported that UEFA have ordered the match to be played behind closed doors after some Slovan Bratislava supporters were involved in numerous incidents during their play-off clash against PAOK FC, with an appeal by the Slovak club to have the punishment overturned proving unsuccessful.
UEFA.com noted that Slovan Bratislava have been fined a total of €91,750 (£82,576) for a series of offences, including racist behaviour of supporters, blocking of stairways, throwing of objects, invading the pitch and insufficient organisation.
Wolves supporters who made the trip to Turkey for their previous Europa League away game against Besiktas enjoyed a memorable 1-o win courtesy of Willy Boly’s stoppage time goal, but they will have to wait until November’s visit to Braga for their next European away day after UEFA’s decision on the game in Bratislava, one which has been lamented by these Wolves fans on Twitter:
