Lots of Wolves fans have been reacting to the latest transfer news, as reports claim they are one of a number of clubs hoping to sign 20 year-old centre-back Edmond Tapsoba.
According to O Jogo, Leicester and Wolves have both joined the race to sign the rising star, who has scored four goals from centre-back this season for Vitoria de Guimaraes. The report claims Bayer Leverkusen were first to the post with a €18m (£15.2m) offer, but the latest proposals have reached €20m (£16.9m), a figure Vitoria are unlikely to resist.
Standing at 6 foot 3 and an excellent athlete, Tapsoba could very well be Wolves’ next Willy Boly. The towering Frenchman also arrived from the Portuguese Primeira Liga and has proven to be quite the aerial threat with eight goals in 94 showings at Molineux, or a goal every 11.75 games. Tapsoba appears to have an even bigger knack for grabbing goals from the back, scoring once every 4.1 games on average (15 in 62) in his short career so far.
