Many Wolves fans have named Virgil van Dijk as the centre-back they would most like the club to sign from a list of defenders.
Wolves Live on Twitter (@WolvesFC_latest) gave followers a choice of one player from a list of centre-backs whom they would like to have at Molineux, with plenty opting for the Liverpool and Netherlands defender.

Wolves have recently seen two of their regular centre-backs sidelined through injury, with Willy Boly fracturing his fibula in late October and facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines (as per Birmingham Live) and Ryan Bennett missing last week’s trip to Arsenal with a groin problem (as per Express & Star).
Midfielders Leander Dendoncker and Romain Saiss have filled in at centre-back in recent games, while right-back Matt Doherty, who injured his knee against Arsenal, shuffled across into that position in the 1-1 draw against Newcastle two weeks ago.
Liverpool defender Van Dijk is the reigning PFA Player of the Year and was also named as UEFA Men’s Player of the Year for 2018/19.
