Wolves are one of six Premier League clubs who are interested in Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Lowdown: Scott profiled

The 19-year-old already has plenty of first-team experience with the Robins after progressing through their academy. He has made 70 senior appearances for the club, lining out in a number of roles ranging from a holding midfield role to a second striker.

The player is considered an 'elite' talent by sources at Ashton Gate, and it seems as if a move away from Bristol could be on the cards this year.

The Latest: Wolves keen on Scott

Jacobs took to Twitter in the last 48 hours to share what he knows about Scott’s future.

He said that Wolves are tracking the midfielder and that there is a ‘realistic possibility of a sale in January’, although Bristol City want a £12m fee for the teenager.

The Verdict: One to watch?

It looks as if Scott could be a star of the future and a possible England international further down the line, so it may well be a wise pick-up if a Molineux deal is agreed.

Julen Lopetegui currently has three holding midfielders and three central midfielders at his disposal at this moment in time, so Scott could arrive as competition in the Old Gold's first team.

On the other hand, Wolves could be open to the idea of securing the player’s services and loaning him back to the Championship club given the multitude of current options, so this could be one to watch over the course of the month.
