Wolves: These fans pick Adama Traore as their player of the season so far

Many Wolves fans believe that Adama Traore has been the team’s best player so far in the 2019/20 season.

Wolves Live on Twitter (@WolvesFC_latest) asked followers to pick their player of the season to date and, while there was a variety of responses, the 23-year-old’s name cropped up with considerable frequency.

In a mixed week for the winger, he received his first call-up to the senior Spain squad but was then forced to pull out due to a hamstring problem and has returned to his club’s training base at Compton for treatment. [via wolves.co.uk]

Traore has two goals and five assists in 20 appearances so far this season, starting nine of their 12 Premier League games but being used mostly as a substitute in the Europa League, having come on in three of their four group matches. [via TransferMarkt]

Earlier this week, he came in for high praise from former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson, who told Football Insider: “I think he is playing the best football of his career at the minute, he has been criticised for a lack of end product and a lack of goals, he was wasteful at times at the weekend but his pace and dribbling ability is very much improved.”

Traore has been awesome so far this season, he’s getting better and has been unplayable at times. Teams are terrified of his pace and he opens the game up brilliantly.
