Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are certainly keen to see their side do some serious business in the summer window.
The men from the London Stadium did not have the best time of things in 2016/17 but there is hope that they’ll learn from the teething troubles and build something more promising in the new campaign.
That, of course, will begin with new players coming in and so the owners need to be ready to seal deals for stars once the window opens up for business this summer.
David Gold, then, has his part to play and he appears in good spirits at the moment after responding to a fan in rather humourous fashion on Twitter.
Plenty reacted to this, too, and so here is the best of what was said:
Hey @davidgold how about a RT for my West Ham supporting uncle who is retiring after 45 years as a Doctor pic.twitter.com/sx4RlFzUAE
