Sunderland are looking very shaky at the moment and if they do not buck their ideas up quickly they are going to find it too difficult to get into the play-off places.
It looks likely that their chances of making the top two are now too remote to really be tangible but if they can get on a run of form they can still challenge for the top six.
However, getting on a streak relies on high confidence and a positive mood at the club, neither of which seem to exist right now as we head towards Christmas.
Up next this weekend for the club, it’s Blackpool and Phil Parkinson was speaking to the press yesterday, outlining the approach he wants to see from his side.
He was quoted as saying this by the club’s official Twitter:
PP: ‘Everybody knows in the recent games we haven’t created enough or been able to sustain performances throughout the 90 minutes. We have to find the balance to be more threatening.’ pic.twitter.com/vl0ILUxgw8

And, that said, let’s take a look at some of the reaction to his comments with many fans continuing to fume online:
Went to gillingham for the draw.

We haven't created enough because you played a flat back 5 and had two defensive midfielders away at Gillingham who were 18th in the league.

“ It buys me another week. Hopefully they will pay up on my contract soon”

We’ve barely sustained performances throughout the warm up to be honest

Your style of play and utter lack of motivation to the team and players is a disgrace. I hope you are gone before he is!
