AC Milan look set to capitalise on Manchester City’s bad boy striker Mario Balotelli’s unhappiness and lure him away in January.
In a move reported by sportinglife, the Football Transfer Tavern has broken out into debate on what has otherwise been a quiet day. The Italian has always divided opinion and there have been many a spilt pint from heated debates surrounding his future. Given the fact he has only started one of City’s last eight games, he could favour a move back to his homeland with Milan in January.
As we gather around the dart board to discuss the latest move – which has been given its strongest hint at happening yet, with AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi responding to a mooted Balotelli bid with “No, it’s not a dream. I never dream,” it seems a move back to his homeland could be on the cards for the forward who has just a single goal to his name this campaign.
One thing we can all agree on is the wealth of attacking talent at the Etihad, and with the Rossoneri struggling in Serie A this term, a link up between Balotelli and fellow countryman El Shaarawy at the San Siro is as fine a prospective partnership as is our beer and burger deal that our punters go crazy for.
Of course this is football and nothing is harder to predict than Mario – well unless you count what accent Joey Barton is going to use in his next interview, so anything is possible.
