Sunderland fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are unsure on whether or not this former Aston Villa will be an improvement at the Stadium of Light after he is now reportedly training with Sam Allardyce’s men.
According to the Birmingham Mail, former Villain Charles N’Zogbia is looking to revive his career by training with Sunderland.
He is fighting for a contract in the North East after being released from Villa Park after his disappointing five-year spell.
The 29-year-old is now a free agent and if Allardyce feels confident in him making an impact in his first team squad, then it could be a real steal, if he can rediscover his form his days at Wigan.
He used to play for the Black Cats’ fiercest rivals, Newcastle United, which hasn’t settled down to well with the punters in the Tavern.
