Arsenal: Fans in hysterics over Mesut Ozil and Unai Emery’s meeting

Arsenal fans were left in hysterics after it was revealed by The Athletic’s David Ornstein that Mesut Ozil and Unai Emery met in the ex-manager’s office after he was sacked.

According to the journalist, the Germany international went to meet the Basque-born manager after he found out the Spaniard had been dismissed.

Fans assumed that Ozil wanted to rub it in Emery’s face with one fan claiming he went to help him with his bags after a strained relationship between the two:

Ozil and Emery didn’t seem to enjoy a great time together with reports the former Sevilla coach wasn’t a fan of the German due to his work rate and performance level in training (via Metro).

The two were said to have had a run-in after the Europa League final thrashing at the hands of Chelsea, with the £22.5m-rated, as per Transfermarkt, Ozil reportedly telling Emery he wasn’t a coach (via Fanatik).
