Arsenal fans on Twitter desperate to land Atletico’s Partey

Arsenal fans everywhere are loving life as an Arsenal fan now that Unai Emery has breathed new life into the club. The supporters have loved seeing Lucas Torreira come into the club’s midfield and if Emery could add Thomas Partey alongside the Uruguayan then things will only get better. According to FootballGhana, that is something that could be happening very soon.

The Gunners got to see Thomas Partey up close when they were drawn to face Atletico Madrid in the Europa League semi-finals and the Ghanaian impressed at both The Emirates and at The Wanda Metropolitano. If Emery could pull off the signing of Partey it really would be a statement of intent, however, with the Spaniard’s former club, PSG, also interested in the Ghanaian midfielder, it will be a tough ask financially to bring him in.

PSG having massive financial power and Champions League football to offer, meanwhile Atletico Madrid have a real chance of winning both La Liga and the Champions League this season. Meanwhile, Arsenal are in the Europa League and will be aiming for Champions League football next year, which would make it increasingly difficult for the Gunners to sign the 25-year-old.
