Some Aston Villa fans have discussed the impact Douglas Luiz has made at the club and how far they think his ability can take him.
The Brazilian arrived at Villa Park last summer after spending time on loan with La Liga side Girona from Manchester City. Villa currently sit 19th in the Premier League table after struggling to find good form in England’s top flight, having gained promotion from the Championship via the play-off final last season.
Featuring 26 times in the league for the Claret and Blue this season, Luiz has provided Dean Smith with a consistent performer in the middle of the park, gaining three goals and two assists in the process. Speaking in a recent interview with Vasco TV via Birmingham Mail, the Brazil international discussed his time in the Midlands, whilst also confirming that Manchester City had a buy-back clause.
Reacting to Luiz’s comments via Twitter account @villareport, these fans gave a mixture of opinion on the Brazilian midfielder, ranging from “lazy and slow” to potential “mega star”…
