Plenty of Aston Villa fans have looked back on Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce’s time in charge of the club.
The Midlands based club are currently sat 19th in the Premier League table with the threat of relegation very much on the minds of manager Dean Smith and the players.
Having gained promotion back to England’s top-flight last season via the Championship play-off final, Villa will be hoping to find some consistent form when the 2019/2020 season resumes.
Looking back on the club’s time in the Championship, Villa fans have looked at Bruce’s period in charge at the club.
The former Sheffield Wednesday manager and now Newcastle boss, spent time at Villa Park between October 2016 and October 2018.
During his time at the club, the 59-year-old tactician narrowly missed out on gaining promotion to the Premier League, losing to Fulham in the play-off final of the 2017/2018 season.
Having left Villa, Bruce spent time with the Owls before moving to Newcastle, where he has had some success, guiding them to 13th in the league table as things stand.
Reacting to Twitter account @VillaTil1Die, most fans thanked Bruce for his spell at the club with one labelling him a “genuine man”:
