Responding to Sky Sports match footage via Twitter from back in August 2019, many Aston Villa fans have flocked to relive winger Anwar El Ghazi’s goal against Everton – with the Dutchman burying a cool effort past Jordan Pickford to gift the Villans a memorable win.
El Ghazi, who has recently divided opinion among Villa supporters despite scoring four goals and assisting four others in the Premier League (WhoScored), is currently having a debatably decent season as far as the numbers are concerned – with the winger managing to accumulate the joint-highest SofaScore rating (7.3) in Villa’s last outing against Manchester City at Wembley.
Now, looking back to August 2019, supporters have been drooling over one moment in particular from the winger – with El Ghazi sealing a crucial 2-0 win at home to Everton while securing their first victory back in the top flight since being promoted last season.
