Many Aston Villa fans have reacted after Bertrand Traore scored a debut goal in the 3-0 win over Bristol City in the EFL Cup at the weekend.
After an opening day Premier League win over Sheffield United, Dean Smith’s side went into the midweek EFL Cup game with Championship Bristol City welcoming new signing Traore to the starting eleven.
The Burkina Faso international arrived at Villa earlier this week in a £17m move from French side Olympique Lyonnais and he added a debut goal to go with two others from his teammates in the win.
Anwar El Ghazi was handed a rare start by Smith and he repaid the faith shown in him by opening the scoring in 11th minute.
Traore would then find the back of the net three minutes later with a volley, before the win was topped off by Ollie Watkins, who continued his impressive start to life in a Villa shirt.
Reacting to Traore’s goalscoring debut, fans reviewed his performance via Twitter platform @villareport and many were absolutely buzzing with the ex-Chelsea man’s display. One described him as ‘quality’ whilst several labelled him ‘class’.

Traore quality , Ramsey Masterclass , another great game from Lansbury and would start over Hourihane for me , Freddie quality and seems to link with Traore well still think he’s still our best and most defensively solid RB , Watkins goal machine and an overall 👌 performance UTV
