Plenty of Aston Villa fans have debated which former striker they would have loved to have seen partner current frontman Wesley.
Having gained promotion to the Premier League last term, Villa boss Dean Smith opted to bring in the Brazilian goalscorer from Belgian side Club Brugge for a transfer fee of £22m.
Gradually adapting to the English game, the 23-year-old netted five games in 21 games before suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury which at the time was expected to see him ruled out for nine months.
Ruled out for the remainder of the season, the young striker will undoubtedly be hoping his side can beat off the threat of relegation, sitting 19th in the Premier League table as things stand.
With fans nervously waiting to the return of the footballing season, postponed due to the recent pandemic, they have been taking part in various social media debates, and a latest one has now seen them picking a former striker who they would love to have seen partner Wesley.
