James Chester is back in training as he works his way back from injury, as shown on the club’s official channels.
The 30-year-old seemed very happy to be out on the pitch in the club’s post about him:

It turns out that Villa supporters were delighted about it as well, highlighting how popular a figure he has become at the club.
This is largely due to the fact that he played through a knee injury last season until reinforcements came in January, to help Villa push for promotion to the Premier League, despite this leaving lasting damage that could interrupt the rest of his career, as reported by The Birmingham Mail.
People can talk about sacrificing themselves for their club, but that is truly what Chester has done for Villa and many fans won’t forget that.
The hope now is that after giving so much to get the club to the Premier League, the 30-year-old will be able to get on the pitch soon and enjoy it with everyone else.
