Aston Villa: Fans react as Wesley continues to recover from injury

Aston Villa striker Wesley suffered a horrible injury last season, and he is on his road to recovery. The club posted a video of his progress and a lot of fans are buzzing to see him return in the near future.
The video was taken by Tyrone Mings as he said his teammate was ‘looking strong’. The cruciate ligament rupture has seen the Brazilian miss 41 games (366 days) and counting (Transfermarkt). One fan replied to the tweet, as he said: ‘Yes I really like him. Heβs going to blossom big’.
The 23 year-old was looking to adapt decently to English football following his arrival in the summer of 2019. He had featured 22 times, picking up one assist and six goals. One of these came in the Burnley match in which he suffered his injury.
Dean Smith did provide an update on the striker in late October, saying:Β ‘He’s working with the physio but he’s out with his boots on and running and kicking. He’s a little way off from being with the group; it’s a gradual process.’
It is good to see that a year after his injury, he is able to be doing some recovery involving weights with his legs, and he will be hoping that he can feature in the new year.
Here is how Villa fans reacted to the update on Wesley:

Man that left calf going to take some training. Great to see the big man back in training like this though. Will be great to have the extra striker in and around the team.
